Hardwood & Solid Wood

Solid wood flooring is, essentially, a plank of flooring made from one piece of wood.  A solid piece of wood is cut from a tree trunk and then machined and sanded into planks of flooring.

Solid hardwood flooring is available in a huge variety of different wood species that vary in colour, grain, pattern, strength and cost.  Solid wood flooring can also be found with a variety of finishes, or alternatively it can be unfinished and then stained, and sealed with oil or lacquer to suit your individual requirements.
